My first film idea is intended as a trailer and comes under the genre of horror, comedy and hints of romance. The main idea of the film is the dead coming back to life on a remote moor located in yorkshire, where two best friends have decided to take a camping trip on, bellow explains the idea.
The film begins with best friends Gary and Neil having a game of pool in their local pub, Gary feels like his life is dull and boring and that it has no meaning, so he tells Neil that its time they went on a random adventure, he takes a map of England off the wall and lays it on the pool table, he picks up a pool ball and says wherever I hit it and it lands is where we will travel to, he hits the ball and it stops on a large patch of countryside, straight in the centre, two days later the two best friends drive to their destination.
Once they arrive they prepare themselves and begin walking up the moor-side, on their travels they find a small cafe where they stop for lunch, once they are inside they are approached by an old man where they are warned that zombies are coming, they walk out laughing, but at that moment the scene changes to a nearby ancient beryl ground where a hand springs out of the ground, signifying the dead have risen, but still leaving a large amount of narrative enigma as to what will happen.
Later that day they begin to set up camp in an open grassy space, they set up a tent and small portable stove where they make themselves some hot chocolate and talk about there day in a comical fashion, eventually they then both go to sleep. Later that night Gary wakes up as he has heard something outside, they both get out of the tent pathetically scared to see what the sound is, they shine the light around to see that nothing is there except for a sheep, they both laugh and turn around to be greeted by a rotting walking corpse which can be denoted as a zombie, both terrified they back off not knowing what to do, they both argue as to what to do as the zombie slowly moves towards them, they begin pickling up twigs and throwing them at it, but they have very little effect, suddenly out of the darkness a figure comes and hits the zombie over the head with a rock and then in a comical fashion smashes it into the ground, the two guys look at each other in astonishment as a stereotypical blond woman flicks her hair back over her head and then tells them how pathetic they are for not stopping the zombie.
Over the middle part of the Gary and Neil begin to ask questions, who she is, why she's so good looking etc, they also have a few zombie encounters along the way where the counter typical blond woman who keeps her name to herself generally kills them by hitting the zombies over the head with rocks, as the other two characters run away.
after realizing that the nearby village is now overrun with zombies the trio seek shelter in an abandoned radio station where they meet some country like characters with farm like weapons, towards the end of the film there is a big fight as the zombies try to get through the fence and kill the people hiding inside, Gary kills himself to save Neil and the mysterious blond girl who he has fallen in love with.
after reviewing this idea I have decided to alter it., below is the altered version
Fortunately the three surviving characters find a barn full of spades, axes, baseball bats etc and so they stock up on the weapons that they need. Two of the characters come out with very poor weapons such as brooms and plastic spades, however the geeky looking character walks round the corner of the shed holding an air rifle, woodcutting axe and many more effective weapons.
They decide to go back to their campsite as that's where they think the zombie may be, meanwhile a small group of geography students are on a field group and they get jumped by the zombie, the zombie attacks and bites them, and so they then become the walking undead which is shown through clear denotation of how they walk and their actions.
As the three characters try to return to the campsite they see a hoard of zombies and spy on them from behind a bush as they feed on some people, one of the characters tells the others that they have to attack and kill them by hitting them on the head, the characters run out with there weapons and kill all the zombies with comical actions.
After they have killed some of the zombies they decide to go find some good shelter or somewhere to fight off the zombies, as they are walking there they bump into 3 girls, who have been running away from zombies also, they are popular girls that are from the same college after talking it over and realizing that both parities are not zombies they decided to join sides and seek a good place for shelter together.
Once they get to their intended shelter they see that it is surrounded by the un-dead and so they decided to attack and kill any in their way in order for them to get inside their hide-out
The film finishes with a large fight out in the shelter as the zombies attempt to get in, which eventually they do and there are only two survivors, the main female protagonist and the main male protagonist

after looking through my first proposal i decided there were some aspects that needed changing, below is an outline of my new idea.
Four college students who live in a large town, who are generally unpopular in their school decide to go on a weekend camping trip onto the moors. There lives mainly revolve around staying at home, watching movies and drinking beer and so it is very important to them to bring beer on the trip.
Once they arrive to their destination in the car they take out their gear and begin hiking to find a suitable place to set up camp, along the way there are comical antics involving funny lines and scenes, at that point the scene then changes to back in there home town where one of the characters parents is listening to the radio, when he hears a strange and bizarre story of the so called dead coming back to life, he tries to ring his son, who had gone hiking but can get no signal.
Later on the four characters are setting up camp whilst joking around, one of the characters asks another to get out the beer, he goes into the bag where it should be but instead finds a crate of orange juice cartons, they are all furious at the fat character who has forgotten to pack the beers and they don't let him forget it for the rest of the weekend.
