Final Narrative

The film begins with a girl running away scared and panting signifying she is running away from something. A hooded character runs past screen chasing her, his face cannot be seen giving narrative enigma but also creating a preferred reading to horror and violence. Eventually the girl trips over a rock and falls to the ground, she stands up and looks around to see that nothing is there, she then turns around and the hooded character jumps onto her and rips open her stomach, the Name of the film then comes onto screen "DEAD MOOR" and the scary music then changes to a more light hearted track.

The scene then changes to what can be denoted as a college where the bell has just gone and a character, Elroy is getting ready to leave for the day, the music changes to a quick paced rock music as the titles of people involved in the screen are shown on the screen. Four characters, Neil, Elroy, Treadman and Snezza, meet up and sit down in the common room of the college, Treadman tells the other 3 characters that they are going on a road trip to the countryside for the weekend and they'll be going in Elroy's car.

The four characters meet up with camping and hiking equipment at Elroy's house later that day and begin packing the car full of their bags, as they set off a hooded figure can be seen in the background attacking a civilian and ripping of his arm. Along the journey the characters having some comical conversations about how bad the weekend will be.

The scene then changes to a moor side setting as the four characters pull up in a car and get out along with their belongings which can be seen through a long distance shaky point of view shot giving denotation to the fact that they are not alone and being watched.

The music then changes to a slower quiet paced music as the four characters enter a small woodland area and throw their belongings on the ground, Snezza tells the other three characters that he's going exploring whilst the other three characters make a pathetic attempt to settle the tent and end up hanging it off a tree, by this point the music has changed to a more comical track to represent the poor attempt to set  up the tent.

Treadman the cocky character of the group reaches into Neil's rucksack to take out the crate of beers, but to his amazement he takes out a crate of orange juice cartons instead, Neil tells him that he may have accidently picked up his sister's bag, the scene then quickly changes to later that night as the four characters are sat round a campfire looking angrily at Neil as they sip the orange juice through a straw.

Later during the night Neil wakes up with Elroy cuddling up to him, he shrugs him off and walks out of the tent to go for a pee, the music begins to build more suspense and gets louder and louder as Neil hears rustling coming from the bushes, this continues for about 30 seconds, done in a light comical fashion, eventually snezza falls out of the bushes and they both laugh as they walk back to the tent.

The next morning the four characters emerge from the tent, which is just lying on the floor, one by one they get out in a comical fashion except Elroy gets out twice as a comical insert and creating narrative enigma. Treadman then rushes out onto a small mound of bracken and begins pulling a "moony to mother nature" just at that point Elroy throws a spade which accidently hits Treadman on the head he falls backwards down a steep slope and hits a tree at the bottom, the three characters gather at the bottom, and decide to run away as they down know what to do.

They run back to camp and discuss what to do but at that point in the background Treadman stands up and begins dragging his feet as he slowly walks towards them, they feel relieved for a moment until they realize that he has become a zombie which is given clear denotation to as he is covered in blood and is walking like a zombie, the music gets faster and louder as they panic and begin hitting him with small sticks, at that point Snezza comes out of no where and kills the zombie with one quick hit to the head with a baseball bat, Neil and Elroy turn around to look a Snezza and to their astonishment he has baseball bats, cricket bats, a woodcutting axe and all kinds of weapons, they ask him where he got them from and he tells them he found them, which is something typical he would say as he is the  dumb character.

The three characters begin walking away but as they do the hand of Treadman twitches. Later that day a bunch of geography students on a field trip are collecting samples a point of view shot shows a zombie jump onto them and bites them effectively turning them into zombies.

As the three characters are making their way back to the car they see a hoard of zombies and decide to kill them after Snezza tells them the most effective way to kill a zombie is to hit it in the head, he knows this as he is a movie buff, the characters kill the zombies and continue on their way.

Later on the three male characters meet up with 3 female characters who have also come on a camping weekend on the moors, they are stereotypical good looking females from the same college and are popular the six characters decide to join forces and head back to Elroy's car along the way they find a tent in a crater with empty beer cans and a dead body, zombies then enter the creator and begin attacking them until Snezza distracts them as five of the characters run to the car, unfortunately one of the female characters gets killed along the way. The four remaining characters get to the car as heroic music is played and decide to drive off, shown through a point of view shot, the camera then turns around to show  zombie which jumps onto the screen and then the credits roll.
